The Hogg Motorsport Association consists of 16 volunteers, most of whom are well experienced in motorsport events. Those manning Hogg Rescue had to attend a Motorsport UK approved training day before becoming trainee crew ant then collect 10 signatures from attendance at 8 Race Rally or speed events and 2 training days all within 2 years and then have an assessment prior to full licensing.
Finance - The team are all unpaid volunteers. When attending events a charge to event organisers is made to offset the considerable running costs of the vehicles. This however, does not cover the full operating expenditure and support comes from many other sources especially the Rob Vine Fund.
Hogg Motorsport attend all the car rallies on the Isle of Man. They will also attend all Isle of Man motorcycle road race events such as the International TT, the Classic TT and the Manx Grand Prix, Billown Course events including the Southern 100 and Andreas Racing Association at Jurby Motodrome as well as Manx Motor Racing Club hill climbs, Southern Motor Cycle Club Enduros and Onchan Raceway stock car meetings.
For 12 years they were invited each November to attend the largest car rally in the UK, the Rally of Great Britain, now the Rally of Wales. They have also previously supplied 2 rally rescue ambulances, 2 Doctors and crews for the TOUR OF MULL rally held on the Isle of Mull. They returned to Mull in 2019 after the rally was started again after several years gap, with our new Hogg Rescue Renault ambulance..
Each year, the crew cover over 130 motorsport event sessions.
